Our 5-year written painting warranty
Every interior, exterior and cabinet job we finish in Las Vegas carries a five-year written warranty on our workmanship. You get it on paper at the final walkthrough, not as a handshake.
The short version
5 years from the day we finish.
Covers our prep and application.
Costs you nothing to claim – no deductible, no call-out fee.
Labor only – paint defects go to Sherwin-Williams.
Not transferable if you sell the home.
The terms, stated plainly
Most painters will tell you they stand behind their work. Here is exactly what that means in our case, so you can hold us to it and compare it against anyone else you are quoting.
| Term length | 5 years from the date we complete the job |
|---|---|
| Applies to | Interior painting, exterior painting, and cabinet painting and refinishing – the same five years on all three |
| What it covers | Our workmanship: surface preparation and application |
| What it does not cover | Manufacturing defects in the coating – those are covered by Sherwin-Williams under their product warranty, and we help you file |
| Transferable? | No. Original customer, original service address |
| How you receive it | In writing, at the final walkthrough |
| Cost to claim | Nothing. No deductible and no call-out fee |
| Who honors it | Chris, the owner – the same person who painted your job |
What the warranty covers
Peeling and flaking
Coating lifting away from the substrate because prep or adhesion failed.
Blistering and bubbling
Bubbles forming under the film from trapped moisture or application error.
Delamination
Layers separating from each other or from the surface underneath.
Premature coating failure
A finish that gives out early because of how it was prepped or applied, not because of age.
What it does not cover
A warranty that claims to cover everything is not a warranty. These are the honest exclusions:
- Normal UV fade and chalking. Mojave sun dulls every color eventually. That is weathering, not failure.
- Accidental or impact damage. Scratches, dents, ladder marks, sprinkler spray, anything that hits the wall.
- Improper cleaning. Harsh chemicals, abrasive pads or pressure washing the paint.
- Water intrusion or structural movement. Roof leaks, plumbing leaks and foundation shift damage paint, but the paint is not the cause.
- New settlement cracks that open in stucco after we finish.
- Surfaces where you declined our recommended prep. If we flagged that something needed more work and you chose to skip it, that area is not covered.

Warranty questions, answered
How long is the New Visions Painters warranty?
Five years from the date we finish your job. The same five-year term applies to interior painting, exterior painting and cabinet painting – there is no shorter tier for any service we offer.
What does the warranty actually cover?
Our workmanship. That means coating failure caused by our surface preparation or our application: peeling, flaking, blistering, bubbling, delamination and loss of adhesion. If the finish fails because of how we prepped or applied it, we come back and redo that area.
Does the warranty cover the paint itself?
No. This is a labor and workmanship warranty. Manufacturing defects in the coating are covered by Sherwin-Williams under their own product warranty, and we will help you file that claim. We only use Sherwin-Williams coatings, so there is one manufacturer to deal with rather than three.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my house?
No. The warranty covers the original customer at the original service address. If you sell the home, the warranty does not pass to the new owner.
Does the five years apply to kitchen cabinets too?
Yes. Cabinet painting and refinishing carries the same five-year written warranty on workmanship as our interior and exterior work.
What is not covered by the warranty?
Normal UV fade and chalking, accidental or impact damage, damage from improper cleaning with harsh chemicals or abrasives, damage caused by water intrusion or structural movement, new settlement cracks that open in stucco after we finish, and any surface where you declined our recommended preparation.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Call or text (702) 578-5759 within 30 days of noticing the problem. Chris comes out and looks at it in person. If it is a workmanship failure we re-prep and re-coat the affected area at no labor charge to you – no deductible and no call-out fee.
Do I get the warranty in writing?
Yes. You receive the written warranty at the final walkthrough, once the job is complete and the invoice is paid in full. It is a document, not a verbal promise.
Want it in writing before you commit?
Ask for the warranty document with your quote. We will send it with the estimate so you can read the terms before you decide anything.
